Walker Engineering boasts a mix of CNC and manual machine tools that give us the flexibility to use a variety of machining methods.

Our machining department consists of highly skilled machinists and state of the art machinery enabling us to produce highly complex parts to the highest of standards. We invest heavily to keep our machines modern and productive, selecting the latest machines that suit our machining ethics and practices.

Our CNC turning capacity ranges from our smaller fully automatic machining centres, with up to 6000rpm spindle speeds and high 24 meters per minute rapids, designed for high speed production and high tolerance consistency.

CNC PROTOTYPING...

We have our rapid prototyping CNC lathes, designed for quick setup and programming.
Capable of larger work pieces, they have an 80mm through bore spindle and can swing up to 480mm diameter and 1.25m between centres.
These machines can handle any turning task you can throw at them accurately and efficiently.

CNC HEAVY DUTY...

We also have our 40hp heavy duty CNC Lathe, capable of turning large components up to 780mm in diameter, it has a maximum speed of 1300rpm, and a through spindle bore of 160mm and 3m between centres.
Using tooling and software capable of any task, this machine allows the machinist to complete highly accurate components very competitively.

CNC MILLING...

Our CNC milling capacity ranges from our smaller fully automatic VMC's, with XYZ travels of 710mm x 450mm x 500mm and table sizes of 760 x 430mm.
They have a 20hp motor giving spindle speeds of up to 8000rpm.
With a 24 station tool magazine they have plenty of tooling capacity for highly complex components.

CNC BED MILLS...

We have our rapid prototyping CNC bed mills, with a bed size of 1400mm x 350mm and XYZ travels of 1020mm x 600mm x 540mm, these machines are very versatile, allowing the machinist to create complex components accurately and efficiently.
All our CNC milling machines have the ability to create your CAD designed components using our 3D CAD/CAM software.
